Frequently Asked Questions
How long will my order take?
Most items are already in stock and we aim to dispatch orders between 3 - 5 days of an order being placed. If for any reason your order is out of stock we will notify you by email with a revised delivery date.
Items made to order will be assessed and time scale quoted individually. If an item is not in stock or there will be any delay we will notify you via email in the first instance.
How does my item come packaged?
All items come individually packaged in a grey box with logo sticker along with a business card inside a white padded mailer envelope. If multiple items are ordered they will be shipped in individual boxes together in one parcel.
What metals do you use?
Other than where gold plating is indicated we only use solid precious metals. 925 sterling silver, 375 9ct gold and 750 18ct gold. Some of our sterling silver items have a 9ct or 14ct yellow hard gold plated finish applied to them. Although this is a thick plating it is none the less a surface finish and over time may show signs of wear and tear.
How should i clean my jewellery?
To protect it and contribute to it’s longevity, we suggest that you store your jewellery separately and in its original packaging as metals and stones can scratch when they come into contact with each other.
Do not let your jewellery come into contact with household detergents; undiluted or strong solutions or other chemical products and take care when spraying perfume and hairspray.
Our sterling silver jewellery is likely to tarnish eventually with time and wearing, this is not a manufacturing defect but a property of silver metal. To restore the original brilliance of the surface, we recommend you first use a silver polishing cloth. If this is not sufficient use a silver dip solution (please follow the manufacturer’s instructions) and then finish with a silver polishing cloth. For gold items use a gold polishing cloth.
All your jewellery can be simply cleaned in hot soapy water, an old soft bristled toothbrush can also help to get into hard to reach areas.
My gold plating is wearing off, what should i do?
We recommend you do not rub gold plated items with a jewellery cloth as over time you will rub away the plating itself. Although this is a thick plating it is none the less a surface finish and over time may show signs of wear and tear. Items that come in to contact with other surfaces more readily i.e rings and bracelets may wear off quicker. Gold plating can be reapplied to your piece to restore it to its original condition, contact us for details. There will be a charge for this service.
